Authoring / video tools with LTI support

Hi all,

I am doing a small-scale comparison of authoring tools and cloud-based video platforms with LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) support. Scope is on modern, agile and versatile authoring tools with both LTI 1.1. & SCORM 1.2 compatibility. Publishing should be mobile-friendly, i.e. HTML5. Note that LTI support is crucial.

So far, I've found that both H5P.com and Easygenerator seems to be great tools.
Do you have any suggestions?

Any tips would be highly appreciated!

Best regards,

Jani

Hi Jani!

Good question, I'm following as I'm curious as to what folks have been using and felt successful with!

Cheers,
Wes

Hi,

It has been interesting to see that for example in Elearningindustry.com the lists of SCORM 1.2 and/or Tin Can API compatible authoring tools are almost overwhelming, but only few true authoring tools provide LTI support. So far, I've also tested Smart Sparrow, which is quite interesting tool as well.

Cheers,
Jani

Hi Jani,

Take a look at Kaltura (https://learning.mediaspace.kaltura.com/). We are just about to release our plugin for Totara.

Grant.
