We have just switched over to Version 12 of Totara. I am working with a government agency and we are required to be 508 compliant. How user-friendly is version 12 in ensuring 508 compliance? What has been your experience with it? Does Totara have the tools necessary for checking compliance or have you had to use other sources? Is there documentation for Totara that would help explain how to use this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is some detailed documentation on accessibility compliance of Totara 12 here
There are various accessibility checkers available for example here - note you still need to be able to interpret the results to see if it is a valid issue and how it can be fixed.
There is a built in accessibility checker in the Atto text editor that is used in Totara - select the show advanced button in the editor
