Navigating the Totara learn, community... sites.

This is to give a bit of feedback to admin about my experience of Totara Community and Academy. I've found it confusing navigating around for a newish user. How is it supposed to work?

Experience 1: Finding Totara community...

I couldn't find any links on the Totara Learn site. I found this page via google - https://www.totaralearning.com/resources/totara-community and another time I found this one https://www.totaralearning.com/community/totara-community. These only work if you're not currently a member. I finally found it another way, I can't remember how. So when I returned today I had to start again. Now I've found the cube icon in the top left corner for the first time. I feel like I've found a way out of the matrix! So simple if you know.

Experience 2: How to contact the Totara Community web administrator? How do I ask for help to navigate or give feedback about the website? I can't find a link for the website administrator. So I'm writing something here.

Though, I think I've found the magic key to navigating. Is there a badge?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from Community users on how we can do things better!

We've now added a 'Sign in' option on the Community page on our website so that existing users who reach that page don't get stuck. We've also added a clearer way to contact us on the front page of the Community with our email address (community@totaralearning.com).

For future reference, we're very happy to be contacted via the forums (as you've done) or by email.

I'm afraid there's no badge for navigating the website, but there are plenty of badges available for completing our Academy courses ;-)

Thank you Rachel. It’s great that you have made those changes so rapidly. I’ll never get locked out again.

I’ve also memorised the domain “totara.community”, plus I have these emails. Those domains take a bit of getting used to; I want to add “.com” to the end of them!
