Certification due dates

Hi all,

We have come across a scenario we unsure how to accommodate in the LMS and are looking for suggestions.

Certain courses are assigned to employees based on their position ie. Food Handling is assigned to employees in our Food Services Assistant position. They are required to complete the course within one month of their start date. This works as we assigned the due date based on a 'profile field date'

We recently however employed an internal employee to the position of Food Services Assistance. Once they met the criteria for the audience they were enrolled in the course however they were several years overdue - due to the fact their start date was several years ago.

Do you have any suggestions as to how we can ensure new starters complete the course within one month of their start date and others within one month of their commencement date in their new position?

Hi Bianca

I suggest you create two audiences one for new starters and one based on their profile field start date.

Then assign the users to the program through the audience and adjust the due date for each audience to how you want. All members of the audience should be given the same due date independent of the other audience.

I'm unsure what you mean, could you be more specific? I'm familiar with the process of having separate audiences and assigning different due dates but what rule would I create that would identify an existing employee that has changed positions?

Hi Bianca

There is a rule Users position assignment date before previous x days that could be used to identify user who have changed position recently- this is in version 12.

The other audience can have the rule based on the profile field.

Hi Craig,

I have created a rule "Users position assignment date before previous 100 days" however the only members added to the audience are the test Androgogic accounts which not not have a job assignment start date. Do you know why this might be?
