In terms of non-essential messages, what are those exactly? Do they include messages sent to people on a roster through the system?

Question about emailstop setting
Hi John
The following lists the non-essential messages types - messages setup for seminars and programs come through as Totara alerts .
Essential messages include things that a system admin might need such as login failures, password reset - unfortunately I can't find a list of these
regards
Hi Craig,
For one of our clients, we need to find a way to prevent users who are on maternity leave or long-term sick leave from receiving emails from Totara. This is despite the fact that they are not considered inactive by the company itself. Their accounts therefore remain active throughout their absence and are updated every night from the HR system.
The solution with the “email stop” field sounds perfect for this.
We were wondering where we can see exactly which types of notifications are classified as non-essential emails in the latest versions of Totara. Unfortunately, the link in your reply no longer works.
Would you please help us with finding an actual overview with the difference of non-essential and essential e-mails in version 19?
Hi Antje
The non essential emails are shown in https://totara.help/docs/list-of-email-notifications - the user wouldn't receive the essential emails as they aren't the site admin but may receive others depending on their role so might be good to take them out of a role such as manager.
