Just a suggestion to enhance the filter function on report builder to allow for and/or and multiple filters.
For example, when viewing a course completion report to be able to filter by:
Course name contains "Alpha" OR course name contains "Beta"
Currently it appears that you can only have one active filter on each field.

That is correct the filters only allow one active filter per field.
A workaround would be to add the Course (multi item) filter and then do a Search when choosing courses for Alpha and select all these courses and then do the same for Beta and select these courses
I can't see a feature request around this - are you able to create a feature request outlining the benefits of this and scale of the problem it is causing?

I was using course name as an example but thanks for the workaround. Useful to know.

while a Course "multi-item" would be useful, I think a broader requirement is the ability to use Boolean items (AND / OR & maybe others) in all the filter text entry fields.

I think this would definitely be beneficial, we often find ourselves building audiences to use as a filter in a report as we can only use one active filter for each field.
We find that this issue isn't only linked to the 'Course Name' field, we have a lot of custom fields where we would find this a benefit.
A big +1 from us.

Same here, we sometimes have to build an audience just for the sake of filtering data on reports.
