We are running Totara version 12. One of our courses has a unit quiz. I checked all of the settings and there are no special requirements. However, a learner contacted me today who passed the quiz 100% but the system still shows the quiz is not completed. Because of this, he is unable to complete the course.

This does not happen often but a few learners out of 1000s seem to come up against this. Any ideas? 

Also, the quiz was set to automatically score. Is there anyway to manually mark the quiz complete for this learner?

Hi Lori

It is possible to override the grade for the quiz activity by going into the Gradebook (Course admin > Grades) and select the users and activity and override the grade in the grade book.

 

The reason why the users is not being recorded as passing the quiz may be because they are not enrolled in the course in the Learner role . By default only the Learner role grade is recorded in the Gradebook.
