Turning notification back on

Hi,

We are looking to turn on the system notification for course completion reminder email after we turned them off a while ago. When we do that, will there be any backlog of historical notifications that will be sent out?

Can you confirm this reminder is from the Feedback activity and you disabled them through the default notification preferences?

I think that if this is the case that they will be sent as the old notifications are queued until sent

Centralised notifications are event driven so only triggered when the event is triggered rather than queued. There is a course completed centralised notification but not one for course not completed

Thank you for your reply Craig! The notifications we are looking to turn back on are: Certification due date, and Failure to recertify (both are Certification notifications). I trust both are in the Centralised notifications category, so we shouldn't need to worry about any backlog?

Hi Jason

These should be centralised notifications if you are on Totara 14 or later as that is when they were introduced.
