New SCORM package

New SCORM package

We need to replace a current SCORM with a completely different SCORM (created by a different supplier) and was wondering what people have found to be the best approach, given that course completion is linked to a certification and don't want to accidently delete previous completion/certification?

Any advice would be welcome 🙂

Hi David

My suggestion is to copy the content of the course to a new course and add the new SCORM and delete the old SCORM from the new course. Any existing course and certification completions will remain intact.

Any newly assigned users or users with a status of in progress will be affected by these changes and these users will need to complete the certification based on the additional course.

See https://totara.help/docs/what-are-certifications#changing-or-removing-courses-in-an-active-certification for more detail.

Hi Craig

Many thanks. Thought this was probably the safest way forward, but thought it best to check 🙂
