Program enrollment -> Course enrollment

Hi everyone,

We have created different dashboards with “featured links” blocks for each program so that we can have a tile on it for each course that belongs to that program, because we didn't want the classic list view that you see when you open a program. The dashboards are only visible to certain audiences that you are added to after you enroll in that program. The problem now is that users are only enrolled in the courses once they have opened them at least once via the program. Then they also receive the green enrollment confirmation message and only then can they see the tiles on the dashboard. Is there a setting that allows users to be enrolled in the program's courses without having to open it first?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Baris

You could use the "Audience Sync" enrolment plugin for the courses, with the audience in question being the one you're using to assign the Programs to the individuals. That way, as soon as you're enrolled in the Program, you will also be enrolled in all of the courses.

Thank you for your reply. But that is already the case. That's what makes it strange. Logically it should work, but users still have to click on a course to complete the enrollment.

That's the enrolment plug-in, so if they are in a Program and access the course - they're enrolled.

What Daniel was suggesting was to add a new enrolment instance of Audience-sync, and then add your audiences that are in the program that way - this means they'll be enrolled before accessing the course.

If you're not using audiences to enrol into the Program, then create a new audience where the Rules include "Program assignment" and select your Program/s.

This is why we do not use programs, and instead enrol at course level. There are other ways that program enrolment shows up differently in the system too. e.g. we had a recent case where a graph on the learner dashboard captured the programme level enrolment, but the list of courses below this did not (via the 'is enrolled' filter). I am looking forward to seeing if V18 takes care of this using the new pathway programme format.
