At present when certifications are created there is an assumption they will continue to reiterate indefinitely, but this is not going to be the case. There should be functionality to shutdown and close off certifications in such a way that it requires the minimum of manual tidying up completion records & enrollments for any affected users.

There are 'workarounds' with varying levels of effectiveness, like extending the period to 99 years (or whatever) but these seem hacky and would like to be able to shut down a cert when it is no longer needed/relevant

Hi there, yes, this feature would be very useful as client requirement changes and e.g. content that is recurring becomes content that needs to be completed once only.
