Reports: Public saved searches

Reports: Public saved searches

Hi all,

Is it possible to remove the capability for users to create their own public saved searches in reports? Having managers save searches that are then visible to all other users that have access to the same report is not ideal.

Can this be configured so only admin users can create public saved searches?

Cheers, Lloyd

Hi Lloyd

Currently there is a permission totara/reportbuilder:managereports that allows a user to manage public saved searches

You are wanting to limit the creation of saved searches - there is some discussion around this TL-33485 n the Suggest Totara learn features forum that you could add your use case to

Thanks Craig.

From what I can see, if a user doesn't have that permission they can still create public saved searches by enabling the "Let other users view" toggle.

I will add a post to the discussion you linked.

Cheers,

Lloyd

We have the same issue. Will also respond on the TL-2285 discussion.

Yes same issue here.

One of our developers added some code to "hide" the save searches button to avoid this in future.
